The second generation T-models were first presented in September 1985 at the Frankfurt IAA and quickly impressed with their innovations. For example, the 143 hp 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo diesel engine of the 300 TD TURBO was an exciting innovation that had been developed from the naturally aspirated engine and used in a modified form for the S-Class export model 300 SDL. As with the previous models, the T-models were also produced in the Bremen factory. As early as 1989, the car manufacturer presented a completely revised model range for the mid-range class at the Frankfurt IAA. As part of the model update, the focus was primarily on stylistic details on the body and interior. The miniature model of the 300 D T-model S 124 also follows the large model. The precision model, which is hand-assembled from over 113 individual parts, is painted in an authentic color and equipped with an interior designed true to the original. Six parts of the 1:18 scale model can also be opened (doors, bonnet and tailgate). In addition to the model of the 300 D station wagon, the Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging also includes a screwdriver and a glove. This means that the collector's item can be removed without leaving fingerprints on the body or windows.
