The second generation of the T-models, which debuted at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in 1985, enjoyed great popularity among private users and was often used as a taxi. Like their predecessors, these T-models were also manufactured in the Bremen factory, which had by this time switched exclusively to car production. Just a few years later, in September 1989, the car manufacturer presented a completely revised mid-range model range at the IAA, which was particularly notable for its stylistic changes. Particularly noteworthy are the side protection strips that distinguished the new models from their predecessors. The miniature model of the 300 DS 124 T-model is a real eye-catcher and is based on its larger model in every detail. The true-to-original design and flocked interior makes collectors' hearts beat faster, as do the six opening parts on the 1:18 scale model (doors, tailgate and bonnet). Another highlight is the paintwork in an authentic color, on the driver and passenger side there is a star and the inscription "The faster the world changes, the more important lasting values ​​are." The precision model, which is assembled by hand from over 118 individual parts, is delivered in Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging. A screwdriver and a glove are also included to protect the model from fingerprints.
