This feature-packed Mini Countryman model was a completely new development despite its similarity to the earlier Mini Police Van (448). A bold release from the Corgi team. The main feature was undoubtedly the roof-mounted surfboard with a plastic surfer figure. Neat headlights and an antenna completed the look. The model was introduced to the range in 1965 and produced until 1969. Although it was produced for four years, it was only ever painted aqua green. For Mini enthusiasts, there were two versions of the vehicle. The Morris-branded Minis were known as the Traveller, while Corgi opted for the almost identical Austin variant, the Countryman.
