The "S" in the Corgi catalogue number 303S refers to a model with miniature suspension from 1961 to 1963. It was originally released by Corgi in 1958 (as the 303), but without this feature. In 1963 it was fitted with a driver figure - as in this Corgi Model Club version. Finally, in 1964, some examples were fitted with wire wheels. Interestingly, the "S" prefix was dropped between 1964 and 1965 for models with and without wire wheels. During its production period, the model was produced in white, off-white, various shades of blue and in a galvanised metal finish. The interior was either blue, yellow or brown.
